Description:

The health and safety of our members is the UWEBC’s top priority. UW–Madison is monitoring the COVID-19 situation in collaboration with local, state and federal agencies. Based on campus' guidance, the March 25 Information Technology Peer Group meeting will be held via web only to allow our members a convenient and safe way to attend.

Automation has been a part of the lexicon for technology and digital transformation leaders for the past few years. Automation has been a primary lever through which organizations have enabled their digital transformations. While benefits of automation has been realized across many different parts of the organization, it is often limited in scope to task automation. The true opportunity for exponential value realization lies with process wide automation that orchestrates tasks around tools, processes and systems. Enabling such a transformation requires an enterprise-wide automation strategy.

The March IT Peer Group meeting of the Consortium will examine how organizations can build towards an enterprise-wide automation strategy. Such a journey does not simply hinge on efficiencies, but truly redefining better ways to deliver value. A systemic approach will allow an organization to scale automation across its value chain, while limiting complexity and using a change management process to ensure the success of the program. Creating realistic expectations and a disciplined approach to automation will empower employees to work better and deliver higher quality, better results and of course greater efficiencies.

Please join your peers from across Wisconsin on this webcast to find better opportunities to create value through automation. This web meeting is a great opportunity for technology leaders and digital transformation leaders to learn more about automation.
