Details»
Description:

The next meeting of the Agile Special Interest Group will examine 2 closely related topics – estimating agile projects and resourcing projects. As Agile gets more widely adopted across organizations, there are now opportunities to drive more efficiencies and find ways to optimize teams to deliver better value. Estimation still remains as one of the most difficult aspects that impacts the entire team and is very closely tied to how best to resource these Agile teams.

There are numerous, widely adopted approaches to estimation, and very recently the no-estimation movement has been getting increased traction within Agile communities. No-estimate movement has primarily focused on alternatives to estimation for agile team capacity planning and short-term forecasting. It has helped empower teams and removed the burdens and bottle-necks resulting from poor estimations. These approaches may also offer insights into how best resource and allocate teams and manage them in a more democratic and yet with greater team accountability.

The upcoming meeting of the Agile SIG will address these two pivotal topics and provide an exceptional opportunity for Agile team leads, coaches and senior practitioners to discuss how best deploy Agile within their own technology environments. Please join your peers from other world-class companies in Wisconsin to learn, share and network within a great Agile community.
