Trade Compliance Special Interest Group Meeting

Trade Compliance Structure and Best Practices
November 07, 2019 09:00 AM - 03:00 PM
Join us for the inaugural meeting of the Trade Compliance SIG, where we will discuss your trade compliance structure and how to build on it successfully.

Trade Compliance is a topic that is relevant to any UWEBC member that imports/exports physical goods. Whether the member has a formal trade compliance department, if it is managed by individuals, a 3rd party, or part of a larger compliance or legal team, this SIG is suitable for all those in a trade compliance role.

In this first session we will get introduced to each members trade compliance structure, processes and challenges. We will spend the morning learning about each members organizational structure and processes in a group discussion. We will then have a presentation panel on best practices of building a trade compliance team.

We will end the day by finalizing the future topics for this SIG, and have a discussion on current challenges.

Participate in Customizing the Agenda: You’ll have the opportunity to play an active part in shaping the agenda for this session – and to maximize its relevance for you – by suggesting and selecting topics for break-out discussions. Once the agenda is complete, you choose the discussions you want to join. This will be a highly interactive session so come prepared to share your questions, challenges and insights!
