There is a diverse group of companies that belong to the UWEBC, as a result, there are differences in which each company structures its sourcing, procurement and buying functions. At this meeting, we will discuss those differences in a roundtable discussion as well as breakout sessions. Think of this meeting as an informal way to benchmark your organization against others in the consortium in an open forum.

We will discuss how roles within the sourcing and procurement functions are defined, named (buyers/purchasing) and what the reporting structure looks like. We will also take some time to talk about successful processes within the sourcing and procurement functions you have put in place that have had a positive impact on your company. Finally, we will discuss your current priorities and how you get buy in from management. Please be prepared to engage in this conversation as everyone present will have time to talk about their organizations best practices and area's in which they plan to improve. We will also save some time at the end of the day to discuss any pertinent issues you may be facing within the procurement realm, outside of the three main topics.

Participate in Customizing the Agenda: You’ll have the opportunity to play an active part in shaping the agenda for this session – and to maximize its relevance for you – by suggesting and selecting topics for break-out discussions. Once the agenda is complete, you choose the discussions you want to join. This will be a highly interactive session so come prepared to share your questions, challenges and insights!
