Description:

A recent Forbes article proclaimed that in 2017 "for the first time, it [big data analytics] will drive business operations, rather than simply reflecting performance." Big Data is becoming synonymous with business intelligence and analytics at most organizations. However, few organizations have truly been able to realize the power of Big Data. While millions have been devoted to the analysis of large data sets in search of meaningful and business critical insights, few organizations are truly realizing the full potential of Big Data. Most of the largest tech companies have invested heavily in deciphering these large data sets with Deep Learning and other forms of AI tools. These investments will soon lead to new tools and technologies that would make Big Data analysis both accessible and useful to the enterprise community.

The July meeting of the IT Peer Group will be devoted to the discussion of how best to leverage analytics technologies to drive Big Data analysis and provide the insights the business needs. The emphasis of this meeting is on how best to develop a technology strategy that can adapt to the changing world of insights.
