Procurement Peer Group Meeting

Forecast Accuracy, Demand Planning and Variability
April 17, 2018 09:00 AM - 02:30 PM
Learn best practices on how to tackle the challenging role of forecasting and demand planning.

Much of the downstream supply chain is dependent on the accuracy of forecasted product coming in (quantity and timeliness). The affects ripple through the supply chain from the types of suppliers used, where suppliers are located (that in turn leads to adjusting lead times) to inventory considerations (not enough/too much/carrying costs) and finally satisfying customer demand. We will look at how companies are using demand planning and driving accuracy in their forecasts to mitigate risk in their supply chains and effectively serving their customers whether internal or external.

Patrick Kloes, Demand Planning Manager from member company Endries will be presenting a case study on some of the process changes in reporting and how to apply macro adjustments when forecasting at the part level. We will also have a panel of demand planning professionals to discuss some of their successes and future plans when it comes to the forecasting function.
