Description:

In prior meetings, we have discussed how to integrate forecasting and who owns the forecast in the S&OP process. In this installment of the SIG, Dr. Siemsen will present and discuss 5 ways to include customers and suppliers into the S&OP process given their importance on forecast input and effect on lead times and order integrity. Steve Silvis from Tompkins Associates will present on S&OP and Relational Analysis. He will detail the relationship (modeled) between Sales and Operations Planning and select elements of the supply chain and will discuss expanding on how a supply chain can support variance in market demand.

In the afternoon, we will switch gears and discuss how technology can enable a smoother S&OP process and have a group discussion on the types of tools (software, SAAS etc.) members are utilizing to manage their S&OP.
