Description:

As the procurement function becomes more visible, whether it is due to shrinking lead times, cost control or other factors, we also have the need to do more with less. One area to gain efficiency in is how to utilize data and make better purchasing decisions based on that data. Additionally, the process around procurement is more complicated (forecasting, visibility internally and to the customer) and access to the right data is also becoming a challenge. In this meeting we will explore how member companies are addressing the topic of analytics and what types of process and systems they are putting in place.

Shawn Helwig, Managing Partner of Total View Analytics will discuss how to develop an analytics strategy.

Mike Sekula and Wayne Thompson will discuss what organizations should look for when gathering data, how to present the data and what data is useful to procurement.

Tim Buhl, a Lecturer for the Grainger Center for Supply Chain Management at the Wisconsin School of Business, will discuss how companies are leveraging data and making decisions in procurement based on that data.

Kristen Daihes from Opex Analytics will present how McDonalds is managing their supplier performance with analytics.

The day will also include breakout sessions and we will allow time for an open forum to see how your current state aligns, and if there is any room to make changes in your process. Please be prepared to engage in this conversation as everyone will have time to be a part of this interactive meeting.
