Supply Chain Peer Group Meeting

Inventory Management Best Practices
June 22, 2017 09:00 AM - 03:00 PM
Learn how member companies are managing their inventory on the supply side, in the warehouse and from a visibility standpoint.

As supply chains squeeze out cost to become more efficient, one of the biggest targets is inventory. But how inventory is managed, and by who, can be very different among organizations. We will discuss how inventory management best practices are being used by our member companies and across the entire spectrum of the supply chain.

Participants will have the opportunity to break out into their area of interest. On the supply side, topics will include JIT, VMI, planning, forecasting, and lead times specific to inventory management. On the warehouse side, topics such as inventory accuracy, cycle counting vs. physicals and other areas that affect inventory availability (receipt, put-away, picked-not-shipped etc.).

Tying both of these areas together will be how member companies are providing visibility across the entire supply chain. We will discuss how each discipline can work with the other to create smooth flow of data and goods to ensure the fastest turns and the most accurate picture of inventory that can be presented.

Participate in Customizing the Agenda: You’ll have the opportunity to play an active part in shaping the agenda for this session – and to maximize its relevance for you – by suggesting and selecting topics for break-out discussions. Once the agenda is complete, you choose the discussions you want to join. This will be a highly interactive session so come prepared to share your questions, challenges and insights!
