Information Technology Peer Group Meeting

Mobile Application Development and Deployment
October 18, 2017 09:00 AM - 03:00 PM
How best to develop and deploy an effective enterprise mobile strategy?

Mobile is no longer fashionable, but a simple reality of the world we live in today. The pervasiveness of mobile devices globally has meant a huge influx of new apps developed for mobile consumers. The Apple App store boasts close to 2.2 million of these apps while Google play has over 2.7 million Apps currently. For most users across the world, mobile is the preferred device, having surpassed desktops/laptops for accessibility in 2014. Designing, developing and deploying good mobile applications is critical for most organizations today. But developing new apps doesn’t simply mean building great apps, but staying abreast with the changes in technology, trends in the industry, and interacting with peers to learn about tips and tricks to help you stay ahead of the game.

The October IT Peer Group Meeting of the consortium will discuss emerging technologies and business applications and opportunities in the mobile sphere. As companies take a mobile first approach, creating a uniform, consistent and engaging mobile experience both for internal and external customers is paramount. This meeting will give mobile specialists and IT professionals the opportunity to discuss how best to develop and deploy mobile solutions, discuss challenges and issues in the mobile realm and share best practices.
