Direct Merchant Distribution Operations Special Interest Group

Address challenges specific to direct merchants' approaches to distribution operations.

This Special Interest Group (SIG) provided a forum for members to learn about distribution planning and operating practices, procedures and processes utilized by the participating companies. It enabled a deeper dive into specific supply chain topics relevant to direct merchants than is possible in a single UWEBC Supply Chain Management Peer Group meeting. The group gleaned validated leading practices from other direct merchants' approaches to distribution operations.

This SIG was for direct merchants' employees with overall responsibility for supply chain management and those managing the specific operations related to warehouse and distribution functions.

This SIG concluded in March 2015.
